I loved the old grungy box but there was no denying it was not ideal for running strength workouts and CrossFit WOD’s simultaneously. Too small, not enough racks, too few bumper plates, so inevitably the Max Effort program had to be put on hold until the new location was ready.
Now that we have a world class training facility, we have the size, new bumpers, an endless row of new squat stands, some awesome new lifting platforms, and so we’re ready to bring back the pain. For the uninitiated, the Max Effort program adds a wrinkle into your standard CrossFit training by prefacing many WOD’s with a grueling Olympic Lifting program. There are no plateaus in the Max Effort program. Lift heavy one week, heavier the next, and keep going until you can’t anymore. Inspired by Coach Rutt’s ME Black Box program, you can get a full run down on the program from his site.
The new program is starting now and it’s a little difficult to start up after the program really gets going, so if you’re interested in getting some, talk to Chad, Nate, or Christian today.
